Meredith Walker is a Christian, wife, and birth doula in the Marion, Indiana area serving a 70 mile radius from Marion. Meredith’s desire is to walk beside you and your family through a season of life that is so beautiful and sacred but also can be filled with fear and pain. Her goal is to encourage you through labor, empower you to feel confident in your decisions by explaining the benefits and risks, support you & your intuition, help your husband/support person care for you in the best way possible, and achieve a positive birthing experience.

Meredith is a trained birth doula through DONA International- the leader in evidence-based doula training. Other training includes a bereavement training to support families through loss, TENS unit (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) to help counteract labor pains which can be especially helpful for unmedicated labor, Intro to Lactation, & Intro to Childbirth Educations class. Meredith serves families in the hospital, birthing center, or home birth.

Services offered:

  • Birth Doula Package: $1,300 to $1,500

    • Free consultation to make sure we are the right fit! 

    • 2 to 3 prenatal appointments to prepare for labor mentally & physically, teach breathing & labor positions, plan for birth & postpartum, & discuss any fears.

    • Text and phone support from time of hire 

    • 24/7 on-call from 38-24 weeks 

    • Hand-on techniques, encouragement, support, advocacy, and pain management techniques (labor combs or TENS machine) through full labor 

    • Photos at the birth 

    • 1-2 hours support after birth 

    • Lactation guidance 

    • 1 to 2 Postpartum Visit (Scheduled 1-2 weeks after birth)
