Immediately after birth you have the support of your nurse or midwife to let you know what is normal and help you with nursing. But then you’re alone at home and it’s up to you to care for your newborn. If you’re like many new parents you may be unsure of your new role as a parent and how to care for your baby.
Sarah is a doula, midwife, teacher and mother with a passion for supporting parents and babies through this vulnerable transition. Her experience encompasses over 15 years of working with families and young children and includes over 150 births. Sarah’s approach to doula care focuses on holistic and non-judgmental assistance that includes physical, informational, practical and emotional support. Her goal is to help families fully recover from pregnancy and childbirth, begin to trust their own parental instincts and fully enjoy the fleeting days their baby is a newborn. In short, Sarah aims to give the best possible postpartum care in a culture that often overlooks this crucial time between parent and child.
Sarah is particularly passionate about helping new mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals and is excited to offer breastfeeding education and assistance in the privacy of your own home.
If you are preparing to welcome a new child into your life, Sarah can offer the kind of sincere, informed, and trustworthy post-partum support you and your loved ones deserve.
