Georgia (she/her) is a deep thinking, song-singing, Libra, and youngest of four. She is a graduate from IU Bloomington, where she earned a degree in gender studies and a minor in ASL studies, before living in France for a year as a nanny and student. She lives with her fiancé in downtown Fort Wayne and spends lots of time with her family. She is creative, sensitive, and relationship driven, which manifests in all areas of her life and especially in her work as a doula.
Georgia started her work as a doula through postpartum care; naturally, this part of childbirth is foundational to her approach. She became a certified Postpartum Doula through Cornerstone Birthwork Training in 2024, where she trained with an emphasis on trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and socially inclusive care. Postpartum is a vulnerable and transitional time; knowing you need ample support, care, and attention, Georgia’s goal is to open-heartedly serve your unique needs. Just as your baby is adjusting to life, you are adjusting to parenthood. As you navigate physical healing, newborn care, feeding, potential sibling dynamics, and mental/emotional changes, Georgia can provide a steady presence to assist and encourage you as you navigate it all. She recognizes that nourishment, rest, emotional connection, physical healing, and creativity are important elements of your postpartum journey and she can help provide space for these elements to be tended to. You deserve a helping hand, whether you are new to parenthood or have experience. In the midst of busy lives and a society that prioritizes being productive or “bouncing back,” restful and nurturing postpartum care is often overlooked. Georgia can help bridge this gap with her uniquely calming energy, kind presence, and attention to detail.
